Jose J. Arguello age 83 of Raton, passed away Tuesday August 6, 2019 in Raton. He was born November 11, 1935 in Raton, New Mexico the son of Joe A. and Margaret V. Valdez-Arguello. Jose was a retired coal miner, a member of the St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton, a member of the U.M.W.A. he loved fishing and made his own lures.

Jose is preceded in death by his parents, wife Irene, daughter Darlene Soliz, son Jimmy Arguello, grandson Ricky Soliz and in-laws Mike and Mary Fresquez. He is survived by one daughter Wanda Fresquez of Oklahoma City, OK. One son Joseph Arguello and wife Elisha of Albuquerque, NM, one sister Gloria Arguello oa Santa Fe, NM, on brother Tony Arguello of Raton, NM,grandchildren, Timmy Solisz and wife Erica of Brighton, CO, Jessica Dorrance of Seattle, WA, Kyle Arguello and Sean Arguello of Albuquerque, NM and many special nieces nephews and friends.
Visitation will be Sunday August 11, 2019 from 2;00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home in Raton.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be Monday August 12, 2019 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Patrick’s-St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton recited by Frank Cimino Jr. Mass of the Resurrection will follow at 10:30 with Father William Woytavich as the celebrant. Rite of Christian burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Raton.
